Choose your Master Image
Your choice for your master image is, of course, a crucial decision and will have a major impact on the quality of your resulting mosaic work. Following you find some tips and tricks concerning the selection of your master image in terms of size, format and choice of subject.
Ratio
You can convert any image size ratio into a photo mosaic with «mosaickr.com». If you intend to print your mosaic work as a poster a ratio of 3:2 or 4:3 is in general recommended.
Input Size
The bigger your original master image is, the better the output quality of your mosaic result.
With a Pro-Account you can use the maximum size of your picture as master image and will thus achive the best results.
Output Size
For high-end printed poster results a size starting at approximately 3000 x 2000 pixel ist highly recommended to reach a great result.
Mosaic Parameters
Once you made your master image choice you’ll see the parameters of your master image and you can select a small, medium or large output size.
